Many see this development as the final nail in the coffin of the manhood.. To be frank initially, I too thought on the similar lines.. but the truth is far from it.
It is true that when scientists make this foolproof, women around the world will feel liberated from men, if they are actually wanting it. They will no longer need a male partner to engender the hope of having an offspring.
The truth is… even today, women dont want a male partner.. they can simply chose the sperm type they want from a sperm bank. So what’s the big fuss here ?? With the advancement.. synthetic sperm can be like a reverse-prophylaxis-rubber ! [think about it..]
The real defeaters of this story are sperm banks.. not men !
Every proof is showing that human evolution is pushing the species further and further away from its animal progenitors – the species is becoming more and more peaceful and nonviolent.
Mostly homosexuality is not a conscious decision, but no one can argue the fact that more and more people are making a judicious choice on their sexual life in the today’s liberal world.
Science is an infiltrator.. it will continue to be like that. With science arming itself with more and more inventions and discoveries, human species will find itself with lots of new options.. and life as we know it is surely going to change with it.
Finally.. if women dont want men for propagation of species.. what will happen to the sexual cravings of men ? I dont know… but eventually, men will have to suck in their ego and move on with it, finding refuge in science once again… for a cloned flunky or supersexual female humanoid… lol.
