Honduran Crisis

Whenever democracy is threatened like it is in Honduras now, at least a generation of that country is derailed from the prosperous path they otherwise might have been travelling. The ousted President Manuel Zelaya is currently in the southern neighbouring country – Nicaragua. Frankly the situation largely remains nebulous.

Is Roberto Micheletti pushing the region into an armed conflict ? That will be suicidal for the greater American interest as economic situation is already blear. A blatant show of power with Nicaragua and Honduras will do nothing good for the life of the common man.

If situation remains status quo, it will be a clear murder of fairness of democracy. Another possible wayout is an emergence of a mediator. Who could that be ? US ? O.A.S ? UN ?
