Finally, police have arrested 2 people, classmates of the girls who committed suicide, in the ambalapuzha suicide case. But the problem that leads to the case still remain at large. What prompt sex cases like these to keep sprouting in Kerala or India for that matter ?
Today, an American tourist is allegedly molested at Mumbai’s Iskcon temple.
I think government should start to look at India’s sex laws in a serious manner. As per the current law, police can arrest an unmarried couple having consensual sex on the charges of immoral traffic. I think the time is high to refragment such archaic laws to make new laws in tune with the new world.
A liberalized community with free opinion in every matter is much better than a suppressed and frustrated society – be it be sex or any other way of life.
