well..most of the Russian oil to Europe goes through pipelines via Ukraine..

ohh..why cant Europe take oil from other country ?
well..they are all talking about oil from Asia..but it’s very impractical for Europe to depend on Asian oil. There is this new Nabucco pipeline planned to begin construction in 2010. It takes oil from Turkey to Austria. For now, about 40% of the European needs is met by Gazprom company of Russia.
ohh..so Europe needs Russia no matter what… Why cant Russia build a pipeline avoiding Ukraine ?
For now…about 2/3rd of Gazprom’s revenue comes from oil through Ukraine. Although there are other lines like Nord stream and new planned lines like south stream.

yea. Nord stream is to Germany and South stream is planned to carry oil to Italy.
Ic..u know..there was a pipeline project to carry oil from Iran to India. But, I think after that nuclear treaty with United States that pipeline project kinda lost steam.

Well, any India-Iran pipeline would be possible only if Indo-Pak relation is good. In the present circumstances, I dont think India will risk such a thing.
I dont think Americans will be too keen about that pipeline, i guess.
They are not. That is why, i guess, they gave a civil nuclear deal to India.

well..when all the oil on the earth finishes, they will have to think about another kind of fuel or transport all together. Or, they will have to start bringing oil from other planets..lol.
