indian home minister should resign

What is Shivraj Patel doing ?

Bomb blasts after bomb blasts and he is sitting in his office and doing god knows what.  Prime Minster ManMohan Singh should ask his Home Minister to resign and sit in his home. This Home minister is a disgrace to the nation of India. He could do nothing while terrorists blasted bombs in many Indian cities over the last few years. He proved that he is an incapable minister who could do nothing to stop these kind of atrocities.

TIme has come and gone for India to look into an antiterrorist law like what they have in USA – The Patriot act. Not even POTA can help us with this kind of terrorist acts. What we need a strong and powerful law like the Patriot act like US have in their kitty for fighting terror.

More than anything what we need is someone at the top office of the country who is very proactive in dealing with these situations. For now, India have a leadership which is very reactive in nature and that too, very slow in its reactive capabilities.

I hope with next election, BJP will come to power and hope they can do a better job – a job which ManMohan singh’s government could not do anything about.

  • cant agree more with you…he should take moral responsibility over the governments inability to do anything over the three blasts (one after another) and resign….

however, i do not think new laws that compromise the human rights of its citizens (that further marginalize minority groups and reinforce isolation) is the answer…..to my mind it is a failure of intelligence gathering….there is a need for a unified intelligence gathering structure….at the moment the state government and the central governments keep pass the buck to each other……coordination between the state and central intelligence structures seems to be non existent….

if the third bomb blast in the capital city does not wake up the government to come up with some proactive action…i do not know what will……
