Mahatma Gandhi was the author of Satyagraha Movement [SM] . According to him, SM is a movement intended to replace methods of violence and a movement based entirely upon truth. It was thought to be an extension of domestic law on the political field and was thought to be the only movement which can get rid of the violence existed in the pre-independent days in India. Every Satyagrahi was bound to resist all those laws which he considered to be unjust and which were not of a criminal character, in order to bent the view of the governement to the will of the people.
