Just now I finished reading an article in pd.cpim.org, the website of communist party of India. Article was writtern by Prakash Karat, titled “Left will continue to work against UPA and communal forces”. An average literate Indian, by now, knows that no party in India is non-communal, even the communist parties play religious cards and caste cards for vote bank. No one can deny that. Fact being that, who is Prakash Karat trying to fool ? Prakash Karat today is a frustrated man, seeing India joining hands with world’s powerful nations and prospering in the new world. I wonder why he is so against the nuclear deal ? After all it is an agreement between two nations. At one point of time, it seemed only 3 people are unhappy with this deal going on – China, Pakistan, and CPIM. No one need brains of Einstein to figure out why 2 out of three oppose the deal. Therefore the baffling question is with whom is CPIM joining hands with…China or Pakistan ? I have a simple suggestion for karat to deal with his frustration – go to china and watch the great communist nation harvesting golds at the Beijing Olymics and for good sake, dont interfere with India’s progress to further glory with some out-of-date thoughts and ideologies.
