I got a mail from my-login-help@cc.yahoo-inc.com
this is what it said
“Due to the congestion in all Yahoo users and removal of all unused Yahoo Accounts,Yahoo would be shutting down all unused accounts,You will have to confirm your E-mail by filling out your Login Info below after clicking the reply botton, or your account will be suspended within 24 hours for security reasons“
from reading this, one thing is sure – this mail is a hoax, a classic case of phising. Noone like yahoo or google will ask for personal details [id, password, or date of birth] and they will never close down an account for congestion and much laughable thing is the time limit of 24 hours.
I hope all people who get such phising mails should put their head into it and recognise what is going on.
